If he doesn't get one, the Argie manager is absolutely clueless. Proved last night yet again why he is the man for the job.

There must be other top Argy keepers all over the world as well as in Argentina itself. But the Prem is one of the best and hardest and not many keepers will have played such a lot of top sides this year. Makes sense for Jules to be promoted you'd think.

Considering their number one Sergio Romero has only made 1 appearance for Monaco since 2013.

Andujar Doesn't get a game at Catania....

There is no reason why he shouldn't go with them.

Disgraceful

Two great saves, but also let one through his legs and perhaps should have done better with the other two (although no doubt I will be told that they were 'worldies' that no keeper would have stopped). Has been great the last couple of months, but inconsistent at the start and decision-making still looks dodgy at times. Just because he is a Palace legend doesn't mean he's good enough to play for his country. John Jackson was arguably the best Palace keeper ever and never got a look in at the England squad because they had Banks and Bonnetti at the time.

Exactly.

An Argie goalkeeper performing outstandingly well in the best league in the World is not something to turn your nose up. If Romero or Andujar go to the WC and Julian doesn't. I nominate Alejandro Sabella for Most Clueless manager of the year and that takes some f***ing doing with the s***heap of managers the world has had this year.

he had to make himself as big as possible for the Suarez goal so that's why it went through his legs - it wasn't an error in my book, for that goal you have to say it was a world class finish
it was the first goal that was disappointing how we conceded it - not really their goals 2 and 3

amazing save to tip on to post...

Am inclined to agree with cpj

Made some terrific saves but seemed tentative.

He doesn't really boss his own goal area, does he?

I think he should stand further off his goal line at corners and claim (or punch) more of those high balls.

This is his best chance of a call up not just for an outstanding season but his exposure and publicity of being in the prem is 10x higher than being in the championship.

Agreed, Even when Speroni came out 1v1 and got lobbed by Johnson I think it was the right decision on his part and even made Johnson go for a first time effort so played a massive part in that not going in.

He's been absolutely class for us this year, of course he's made mistakes but in all honesty, no more than Cech who I would consider one of the best in the world.

My player of the year I'd say; I know football is all about opinions but his ability really shouldn't be called in to question by us as fans. I'm more confident with him than any other keeper in the league when it comes to claiming dangerous crosses in his domain, which is something he's massively improved on, especially at his height which is nothing special for a keeper.

Legacy solidified.

Yep, let's focus on two ( although not in my opinion ) '' mistakes '' made against a free scoring team with the Player of the Year in their ranks.

No need to dwell on the dozen clean sheets in the strongest league in the world.

Tim Vickery, who covers South American football, said Speroni suffers from a lack of profile back in Argentina caused by the fact that he left the country at a very young age and did not play much over there. This season is the first where they've been able to really watch me seeing as we've spent the rest of the time in the Championship, so it looks to have come a bit too late for him. Vickery thinks it'd take a massive injury crisis for him to go to Brazil.
