Okay, it's a bit too soon ( 12 hours ago as I write) for nostalgia to kick in, although in years to come fans will undoubtedly recall last night's 3-3 thriller against Liverpool with misty eyes. But, what I was wondering, when was the last occasion Palace were three goals behind and came back to save a game?

Two goals yes, but three? I lay in bed last night racking my brains for an answer to this question but drew a blank.

Anyone remember such an achievement?

It's just not the Palace way.

And I see signs of half remembered days, I hear bells that chime in strange familiar ways

I asked a bloke who's even older than me and he can't think of one either.

I remember being 3-0 down at SP and coming back to 3-2 but failing to get an equaliser. My memory is sh*t so can't remember who it was against or when, but was probably late 70's or 80's.

Best I can come up with.

Does anyone remember when it was? I remember very nearly doing it against Forest some years back when we scored a last minute pen which then had to retaken (and was then missed, Julian Gray I think) . Can remember blowing a 3 goal lead to Peterborough in the cup over 2 legs a good while back - but struggling to remember a previous comebacks from 0-3...?

I seem to recall we did in a 3-3 draw at home against Luton Town in the mid 1970s when we had just got out of the old 3rd Division. I remember it was an exciting match and we were trailing at 1- 3 but can't be 100% that we did not score before their third goal.

I've been following palace since late 60's and can only remember a few 0-2 jobs(one being @ Bournemouth coming back 2-0 to win 2-3 70's or 80's.)
