Have just watched an interview on sky where Jose was asked by reporter if they were kicking themselves over dropped points v us v villa v Sunderland. His response was please remove palace from those 3 because they gave us a game of football, played well, created chances and deservedly won the game.
He said he asked mr pulis permission to pop into the changing room after and congratulate our lads on a great game. Something he intimated he never does.

2 things interest me here was that this was particularly high praise from a top manager and secondly how highly he regards us and tp to be so gracious in such a high stakes defeat.

I wouldn't be surprised if he manages us one day.

I would . Don't think we would stretch to the 12 million a year. Still great news he likes us so much. Hopefully Tony has been on the phone about a couple of loan players for next season.. Our style is perfect training for them in the Champions League.

It is clear that Mourinho is a Palace fan.

He went over to applaud the Palace fans at Stamford Bridge. I believe he also applauded the Palace fans at Selhurst too? (I was at a wedding so wasn't at the game...)

I also remember him trying to get his own fans to make some noise in a game at home.

He seems to have great respect for Pulis.

And he went to congratulate the Palace players after losing at SP.

Funny bloke Josie, but for such a competitive character his remarks are very welcome. If, one day, having made all the money he needs, he can please himself where he goes and what he does. You never know, he may rock up here. But more likely he'll go back to a small coastal town in Portugal and semi-retire while taking an active interest in a local football affair. I would.

Maybe he has his eye on a couple of our players and is in the process of feeling things out? He's good for the game theatrically but all in all I'm not his greatest fan.

He might drive everyone crazy sometimes, but there is no 2 ways about it he is a top manager.

To get Chelsea to within touching distance of all major trophies with a team that wasn't his in the first place takes some doing.

I don't mind him, he is one of the more entertaining and animated managers. Who wants a league full of Fat Sam's?

Not only that he is a closet Palace fan to boot...

Rafa left him a team in excellent shape, CL qualifiers and Europa Cup winners, surely there would be plenty of managers around Europe that could have had this £300 million plus team competing as equally?

Grant you, but a 300 million pound team doesn't guarantee success and Rafa was very, very lucky with that Champions League title

I'm not referring to that , I'm referring to the fact he left JM a team in excellent shape.
