Rodgers has had at his disposal top class international players and has unquestionably done the business with Liverpool, thus proving his value and credibility as a top manager. However,in achieving the accolade of manager of the year,I believe the question should be asked,'could he have achieved the level of success that Tony Pulis has done at Palace with the limited resources Pulis has had available to him? I dont think so!!

I dont think so!! Equally you could ask could Pulis have turned Liverpool around and achieved the level of success that Rodgers has at Liverpool. I have no idea if he could have - it is actually an interesting question for us long term (I hope) TP may be able to establish us like he did with Stoke, could he then take us to the next level (Stoke didn't think so)? Two very different jobs, I personally think TP should get it. He hasn't had to rely on two exceptional players and the Palace turnaround was in my opinion, much less likely than Liverpool competing for the title.

A lot of managers could have guided Liverpool to the top with there current squad. But few could achieve and motivate the squad inherited by Pullis.

I would take TP over Rodgers, but I think steve Bruce might be in with a shout. Survival and a cup final.

In the same position as BR would TP have his team go all out for a win or make sure they were solid at the back and kept the title in your own hands. Liverpool have had no champions league or euro games while Man Utd Chelsea and Arsenal are not at their best so if they do not win it this season then he can not be moty leaving TP to take the award.

Could be decided on Saturday. If we win it will be Pulis.

The League's not been won yet, but Palace have won the right to play in the Premiership next season. Tony got us there with WEEKS to spare, got us there when most commentators had us as relegation fodder, got us there with style, pace, tactical wisdom, self belief and teamwork. No Luck involved, which was always an accusation to which we were open after the play-offs ( not that I agree). So, yeah at the moment Pulis has the edge over Rodgers for me.

Tony Pulis - Because Rodgers did it with a squad he's built over a few transfer windows, that was a decent competing team. Suarez cost Liverpool 22.5m plus a fortune in wages and an established world class player. Pulis did it with a team that was bottom, comprised of players who no other premiership team were interested in, and over months rather than years. Jason Puncheon, top goal scorer, was on loan from Southampton and largely regarded as a failure. Rodgers has done well, but the impact of the manager was only to turn a good team, that had been poorly managed by his predessors, into a really good one with a few very good additions (into a squad that featured noted internationals). Pulis deserves it because he took a s**t team, with aboslutely no hope of staying up, and is currently sitting pretty at 11th in the table, with 44 points. Had they had the same resources and capacity to attract players. All Rodgers has done is get Liverpool to compete at the level they should be competing at, and had been competing at. He's done well, but if done as well as Pulis has with Palace, then he'd already have lifted the Premier League. Pulis achievement at Palace won't win, but all Liverpool have really achieved is to return to where they were five or six years or so ago. But they're 'footballing royalty' and every c**t will bang on about how they're great again - but they never should have gotten so s**t in the first place. Where as Palace, who the f**k are Palace!
