Due to health reasons I can't get to games these days but I watch them where I can from start to finish, I watched the palace city game and have to say that I was not as impressed with the lads as I have been. I felt we looked jaded and tired, jules was not controlling his area and I felt was at fault for the first goal, we knew that toure would be a handful but nobody was able to control him in fact we never looked as if we got anywhere near him .
I first went to palace when I was 4 a wooden box to sit/stand on and monkey nuts at half time, now 46 years later come on you Eeeeeagles,I |

Well firstly, you can't really begrudge the players for looking inferior; they are inferior! Especially to the likes of Man City! They have players worth more than our entire team, and a squad worth more than our entire club. Given the blood, sweat and tears they've given us this season, it's not surprising to see them a little bit more relaxed now that we are safe. I should hope we look "jade and tired"; they've just achieved something no other Palace team has ever done. TP won't let them do a Newcastle though, who have been on there jetskis for weeks. And I hope we don't turn up Saturday; we're playing Monday!

Normally I think fringe players would be given some match time but TP will surely be obliged to fieldtge strongest team against Liverpool in the interests of other clubs at the top, similarly the Fulham game has the same criteria, putting this to one side in any case if can finish 9th or 10th there is a lot more money involved.

Having said that, I saw someone in a Chelsea tracksuit top out on a jog on Sunday afternoon on my way to Selhurst whilst Chelsea were playing at Anfield. You sometimes see kids in the park in shirts of big clubs when they're playing on tv and there is no chance none of them have Sky Sports.

2 things. 1. We were never realistically going to play that well, all the pressure that has been on the lads had gone and the job had been done. We didn't play that badly, just with less intense as we have seen the last 2 months. 2. The Liverpool Chelsea match being played right before ours was a major catalyst. Had Liverpool won then City would have been downbeat and we would have probably been more in the game. The fact they lost was the perfect team talk as the title is effectively back in City's hands if they beat us. Oh, and as said, the match is Monday night...

City were exceptional and I would say were the best team I have seen this season they were fired up due to the Liverpool result. We did not play that well but I would say City did not allow it to happen.

I think you have to be realistic, I don't think we played that badly, or very differently from the preceeding five wins - I thought we actually played better than we did against West Ham. But the otherside were just better than us, and the gulf in quality really showed. Toure is an amazing player on an average day. We were unlucky in that he was on top of his game Sunday. We weren't that bad, they're just a totally different level.

Won 5 on the bounce when the pressure was on, then safe when arguably the best set of players comes to Selhurst. They scored after 4 mins with one of their world class players bang on his game in the first half. Is there any surprise we where a little off our game. Under Pulis the players have been incredible and I for one will let them off that game, they gave the right effort and played ok but City were better simplae as.
