We are all aware of the fantastic job TP has done in making us a formidable PL side. As side that the big boys are talking about as a potential banana skin in the fight for the title. I would just like to give a little credit to KM who in not jumping ship when IH resigned. This boyhood Palace fan started to galvanise a crumbling side and his 4 points in 4 games before tp officially took the helm, showed what the team was capable of. He doesn't get much plaudit as all goes to Pulis, but I think Millen did a fantastic job in installing some belief in our team. The was the springboard for Pulis and the rest is history.

Agree that KM has done a good job but let's be realistic, why on earth would you congratulate him for not jumping ship? Quite apart from the fact that, as you point out, he's a Palace fan, how many people do you know who are looking to quit their dream jobs? These days, most people are looking to find a job...not become unemployed for no reason. Bottom line is that KM has been a good employee who has performed above expectations and has won all our respect as a result. We don't have to lurch into extremes just to show that we appreciate someone.

He gets a lot of plaudits TBF but great thread anyway, growing up a palace fan is enough to make me like him but he done a superb job as caretaker and assistant. Plaudits should also go to Dave Kemp, Gerry Francis and 007 who I think have definitely contributed to our better side.

Apart from the fact palace were useless in the 1st few in the PL under Holloway and Millen was brought in by him as a no.2, some might think they was not up to the job. I like the fact he put himself forward and took the helm of a sunken ship and started to change our fortunes, brought back the heart of the Championship side that got us to the promised land as someone else so rightly pointed out. If you think giving someone credit where credits due is lurching to extremes, I suggest you get some gratitude in your life

If you think giving someone credit where credits due is lurching to extremes, I suggest you get some gratitude in your life On the contrary, I very much gave him credit where it was due. Did you not bother to read my post before replying to it? If not, let me remind you: "Bottom line is that KM has been a good employee who has performed above expectations and has won all our respect as a result." I am, though, really tired of the exaggerations that run through both the media and society in general today. Far from showing proper appreciation, they simply cheapen achievements like Millen's. It's like in order to show you value something, you have to go way over the top. Everything has to be genius of disaster but I think when you exaggerate, it obscures real achievement and what is important in life. The verbal guff actually gets in the way of what someone has done. So sorry, but I have plenty of gratitude in my life and I have shown it to Keith Millen in this thread, to whom I'm genuinely grateful for his contribution to Palace this season. But I don't have to go way, way over the top to make that clear. Perhaps for some reason you do?
