Despite pushing hard for automatic promotion for most of last season we eventually scraped into the playoffs and hence to promotion.

Who would have thought we would end up by far the best of the three promoted teams?

Spent less money than Hull and Cardiff.
Did the double over both Hull and Cardiff.
Did not concede a goal against Hull or Cardiff.
Almost certain to finish above Hull and Cardiff.

Brilliant.

Also 4th best in London.

Going back 12 months, we'd have been behind:
Chelsea
Arsenal
Tottenham
West Ham
Fulham
QPR

Quite an increase in stature

It's madness isn't it. As fans we need to remember that regardless of our great form we have the best football club owners in the country!

Imagine how much better we would have been if we had played in all lucky red, just like Cardiff.

Come on the South London Eagles.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

3. Don't have an idiot, megalomaniac owner.
4. Gained promotion while making a profit (instead of a thumping great loss)

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Hmm, Hull aren't that far behind and have basically won the FA Cup because they're playing Arsenal but we've done the best on the budget available.
