Amazing achievement by everyone. Slightly disappointed by the fact I'll have nothing to panick about on the last day. I love this club. There is surely nothing better in life than being written off, rising to the occasion and sticking 2 fingers up to everyone. Now we know where we are give speroni the new contract he deserves.

Yes once again Jules was there when we needed him today and I think on Monday morning next Parish should call him in and give him a really lucrative contract. If Hennessey is better than Jules he must be super natural but lets keep Jules going for the next five years.

Still a dark cloud over the season for me, as soon as he gets a new contract then I'll be truly happy!

Time and time again CPFC2010 have sealed the deal. I would be totally stunned if they don't offer Jules what he truly deserves.

I would imagine contract talks will start shortly, now that we are staying up. Jules is not the only one we need to renew contracts with. Tony Pulis and Marouane Chamakh being the most important ones alongside Jules. Edited by Tim Gypsy Hill '64 (19 Apr 2014 9.23pm)

Family settled in the area and at their church, restaurant in Purley etc etc and he genuinely loves the club. Could have gone to QPR when we were in administration, chose to stay.

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni to consider his options: This week could be the perfect time to start offering contracts to those that we wish to keep...before it's too late.

They wrote us off at the start of last season. Charlton fans were slating us saying that we has an inexperienced manager at the helm of a rabble of players. We rampaged to the top of the league by November. They wrote off our form, saying that we'd dwindle and ultimately end up in mid-table. Brighton fans were slating us after that 3-0 defeat at the Amex, saying that if it came to play-offs, they would rise to see us off. They wrote off our play-off chances, making Watford the favorites and Brighton the 'Dark-horses' across the legs. They wrote off our chance in the final, saying we were somehow 'lucky' to face Watford, and that Watford 'should' win decisively. They wrote off our chances in the transfer market, slating us for buying so many players with so little quality. They wrote off our chances of a steady manager, even after Holloway leaving, they slated Pulis for taking a 'Doomed' job, and wrote off HIS chances of keeping us up. They wrote us off against Chelsea, Everton and doing doubles over West Ham, Cardiff, Hull and Aston Villa al without conceding.

TP has a history of preferring tall keepers who have a real presence but he must be hugely impressed by Jules this season, the man has been immense. He has proved you don't need to be tall and wide to be a brilliant Prem keeper. He is without doubt Premiership class and if Hennessey is better than him he should be playing for Real Madrid. I never want to see him leave, when his playing days are over i want him on the backroom staff as GK coach. He loves this club too much to let him go.

We should also look at this from JS's perspective. Even assuming we offer him a new contract, he probably only has 3-4 years guaranteed playing at the top level and he must feel obliged to consider any offers from other clubs which can offer him more than we can, or are prepared to. If we cant match his expectation then I would not blame either side from deciding it is time to move on, although I desperately hope it doesn't come to that.
