Everyone singing Tony P's praises of late, and 11th place with 40 points is fantastic.

But where would the club be if the season had started on the day Pulis took over? The answer is quite amazing - full tables and analysis here:

The impact Pulis has had over and above other new appointments this season, like Poyet or Sherwood for example - has been phenomenal.

Manager of the year? I think so.

No worries mate.

Optimistic Pulis can keep winning? Newcastle are catchable at this rate!

I think a telling statistic is that since we lost away at Norwich just after TP's appointment , we haven't lost to any of the teams in the lower half of the table, in fact, we have generally beaten them.

Pete53 - agreed, although with 5 wins on the spin, he's clearly got them firing against all sides just now.

A big thing for me is the tactical flexibility he has shown. Most accused him of being a long ball merchant, but I think the style of the current Palace side disprove that.

Ninth place would be our second best EVER finish in the top flight. Tenth would be equal second.

I am ready, are you? Sheffield here we come.

Devon Eagle - what does Pulis need to do to build on such a high finish for next season? Can he?

No matter where we finish this season, the FIRST aim for next year will be to avoid relegation again.
