I know this sounds a little crazy given how he (and the team) has performed in the last few weeks, but bear with me. In reality, hitting the 40 point mark has basically rendered us safe. With that said, we know exactly what we do / don't have in Jerome and, frankly, he is a loan player.

I'd like to see us give Murray and Gayle (the latter in particular) a bit of a run for the next 4 games to get an extended look at them when they have a starting opportunity. Gives Pulis a chance to see what he's got and therefore what he does / doesn't need to do in the window.

No it is not. We must keep pushing on and win as much as we can. We all saw what happened with Gayle starting. Don't intend to go back to that time of season. And just so you know, he played centrally vs Fulham

The amount of prize money for league final placings means that we should aim to win as many games as we can right up to the end of the season. Last season the difference between 17th place and 11th place was £4.5m likely to be more this year.

Also it would be great to beat city and liverpool!

You are basically saying "Gayle was naff at the beginning of the season so he's likely to be bad now too" which I think is incredibly harsh. I'd argue that a huge number of people played like crap early in the season during the bad ol' Holloway times.

Puncheon was lambasted on here as one of the worst signings of all time by some. Now look at him. One could make a valid case for any / all of KG, Puncheon, Speroni, Mariappa, Bolasie, Chamakh also all having bad early seasons under IH but have been transformed under Pulis. What is to say that Gayle also couldn't?

Yup, and that's where I stopped reading.

Was it just me or did anyone else think that Jerome did not know how to celebrate his goal last night ? It was a quality finish set up by an awful touch.

Sorry mate, only joking, just feeling very happy atm , don't know why

I stated a while ago I'd like to see GM and DW play together but the other side of the coin (No pun intended ) is that each place is worth £900k which has to be taken into consideration, not that I'm saying the two up front will lose us games.

Hardly surprising is it?

Why on earth would be drop him now ? He's been immense and now he's even scored ! His all round play in holding up the ball and laying the ball off have been excellent. If he'd scored 3 or 4 more goals we'd all be praying for him Pulis to buy him. Whether he'll be with us next season remains to be seen (probably not) but he may well help us get a few more points and with it a few more sheckels for the transfer pot.

I had the same thought before the Villa game. The immense effort he's put in lately surely we could have given him a rest, recharge his batteries by starting with Chamakh up top who is more than capable of doing the same job then bring him back against Everton.

Now I'm no 'Pulis' but I still do not see any harm of leaving him tis saturday so he is fresh against Citeh and Liverpool.

Jerome has played his heart out even if not scoring, he holds the ball well. Does not deserve to be dropped, the team play better with him and I think that goal may be the shape of things to come now he's brimming with confidence so no.
