Been too excited to be able to check all the threads but in excitement I've done some checking, learnt its never over till the fat lady sings with Palace. Can anyone confirm that I have this correct.

Fulham are 10 points behind us in the top of the relegation places with 4 games to go meaning they can get a max of 12 points if they win them all and we lose all ours. so 10 points with an incredible upturn in goal difference could get them safe and send us down.

On Saturday Tottenham v Fulham is the 12:45 kick off match. If Fulham lose that game I believe we are guaranteed safety. Means to be 100% safe that is now the deciding game for us. We can be guaranteed Premier League football before our match on Saturday kicks off.

only mathematical that we wont come bottom, not that we wont get relegated. But we're safe now anyway - no worries.

I think Cardiff can still reach 41?

If we were 17th I'd still be nervous .........BUT WE'RE 11TH !!!!!

Too many others teams between us and the bottom 3 - I think I do now beli......... No, not just yet!

Nope, not quite there yet. In theory either Sunderland or Cardiff could top our total with 41 points if they win all their games and we lose our remaining four. From a bookmakers viewpoint we are a relatively safe bet but given the odds of a 3-2 victory tonight were 170-1 what do they know.

We were pretty much safe (albeit not mathematically) with last weeks win. This week just seals it. Enjoy it, there is NO WAY in this world we're going down

yeah my bad not 100% safe after the fulham game but i believe now ive checked that if fulham lose v spurs and cardiff and sunderland both get nothing more than a draw even if we lose we stay up.

I have been Mr. "Remember 93" (even though I don't), but I can't help feel we've done it.

However, if Fulham, Cardiff and Sunderland all lose (away to Spurs, home to Stoke and away to Chelsea), there are three teams that cannot catch us and we are safe, even if we lose. A draw at Upton will mean Sunderland COULD catch us if they win all their games and we lose. A win and it's all irrelevant!

We're not waiting to pick up points, we're waiting for teams to drop them. It could be set in stone this weekend.

Astonishing. Who would have thought, around Christmas, we'd be here?

Both Cardiff and Sunderland can still get 41 points if they win all, and we lose all. But by Saturday evening we could be safe if results go for us!! get in.

As has been posted elsewhere, Cardiff and Sunderland can't both get 41 - they have to play each other. If they draw neither of them can get 40. Let's just beat Wet Sham and finish as high as we can. I'm sure I've read somewhere that each place in the PL is worth 900K, so we don't just want to survive, we want to finish as high as we can.

Could we not be mathematically safe already? I know points wise we can be caught up by every team but surely some teams below us have to play each other meaning they can't all get the required points. I think don't Cardiff and Sunderland have to play each other? Meaning they can't both catch us. Anyone mathematically advanced enough to do this though?

It would appear not

I'd like Fulham to win please. Don't want any disincentive for the boys to go out and wipe the smile off fat Sams face and complete a quadruple double.

Especially as I'll be there !

You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue
