We are all saying that it would be great to have a striker with the workrate of CJ but who could actually score a goal, well i wonder if TP could coach Dwight how to play that role effectively. He is not as physical as Jerome but that could be remedied with a bit of weight training. There is no doubt he will score more goals. I think it's worth trying as we have invested a lot of money in the lad.TP has a good record of players re-inventing themselves as Chammy and Wardy have done

Surely the player up top though needs to have a bit of height and be able to win the ball and lay it off. Gayle just isn't that type of player. I struggle to see how he can fit in a Pulis team unless we play with 2 strikers

I would much rather have Jerome continue what he does, holding up the ball and causing havoc in defence, in order to create space for Gayle and feed balls to him with his quick pace and excellent finishing from the edge of the box. Works a treat on FM14 ;P Edited by Proper_Gander (16 Apr 2014 12.32pm)

I rate Gayle and would like him to be given a chance. He cannot do the Jerome role though. It's taken the best part of the season for a lot of fans to realise the importance of the role he plays. To ask Gayle to perform the same role would not be fair on either player. Chalk & cheese

Those 3 inches won't be much help either unless he's looking for a massive career change...

Not true if you're talking about girth rather than length, and since you don't specify...

Who knows it might just come good?. I think Gayle's pace might just make a difference.
