I think this is correct. I think players will respect Pulis a lot more than Holloway or particularly Freedman as well.

I think our squad would have been greatly improved this season with any of the following players:

Zaha, Long, Jelavic, Bendtner (debatable), Boyd, Lewis Holtby, Darren Bent etc.

With the exception of Zaha, all those players turned us down for Premiership clubs with "realistic" chances of survival.

All of a sudden, it looks like we could quite easily get in the summer:

Adam Johnson, Holtby, O'Shea (good cover), Zaha and possibly even Victor Moses.

That's an even better list than the previous one and yet I think with the power we have now we have way more chance of signing higher quality than what we went after last year.
