If we stay in the Premier League for the first time in our history because of the FANTASTIC work done by TP I would like to suggest that the Directors and fans come together and have a Tony Pulis statue in a promininent place iSelhursy Park. what do you all think?????

Not saying Pulis hasn't done a brilliant job but talk of a statue is a bit excessive. Also pre Prem we've had managers who've kept us up. If we were to do a statue it would be between Bert Head and Steve Coppell for me

he's done well this season but far from being a legend. Edited by miles18 (13 Apr 2014 1.17pm)

A statue is a bit overkill for less than a full season's work. Not to doubt his achievement or anything but it's only 1 season.

Nope. He's done a great job; definitely. But I think it patronises our own (potential) ability to laud this as a finest hour. We're capable of far more than surviving relegation. Also, possibly more significantly in a cultural sense, a 'hero' has to leave in appropriate terms. How many times before has the 'messiah' let us down? We'd look a proper bunch of t***s if things turned sour. Statures are put up years after an event, when there's a cemented historical context, not during the event.
