PALACE FOR EVER London 13 Apr 14 11.50am | |

For the bottom four clubs they need the following to get more points than Palace. Sunderland (GD is 10 worse than ours) 13 points from 6 games. You also have to realise there is one match where two are playing each other, Sunderland v Cardiff. Sunderland need 5 wins or 4 wins & 1 draw. Perhaps Sunderland may only require 12 points to finish above Palace as they could finish with a better GD, which is of course 4 wins.
The pyramid to beat all pyramids!! Find out what team is in which division, eg which division is Coppull United in? |

I worked this same thing out yesterday and the flip to it is for them to overtake us assuming we don't get another point all season... Sunderland can only afford drop 5 points So as soon as those teams 'drop' those points then we are safe...and what we do is irrelevant Norwich, WBA and even Swansea are looking vulnerable to the bottom three a hell of a lot more than we are...who would have thought that in August

Have to say, Fulham and Cardiff will do well to record anything near that. Granted I only caught the MOTD highlights but looked like both sides 1-0 wins were very fortunate, Norwich and Soton could have been out of sight by half time in those matches.

I think one more point for us could be very significant e.g. it means that to get above us: Sunderland can't lose 2 of their remaining 6 games (they have 3 hard away games and 3 winnable home games) Cardiff can't lose one game of their last 4(they are away to Chelsea last game although let's hope Chelsea are not distracted for that by the CL Fulham can't lose one game of their last 4 (they have momentum and their hardest game is away to Spurs who are inconsistent) Norwich would not be able to lose 2 out of their 4 difficult games so in terms of probability I think one more point before the Fulham game would make a huge difference hull, swansea, west brom and villa have enough games left of the type where they should pick up points and I think they could all easily finish higher than us because we have just played the easiest remaining fixture of the last 6 and now have three very hard fixtures out of five west ham away could be a decisive game for us - hopefully we won't then suddenly realise our survival is not already done and dusted we don't want to go to Fulham for the last game in a situation where if they beat us they could pip us, anything could happen and they will have home advantage fortunately Mr Tony Pulis won't be taking things for granted Quote PALACE FOR EVER at 13 Apr 2014 11.50am

We need to go back to frustration tactics against Everton to try and grind out a point.

In the media we barely got a mention this week as we're officially not in the relegation struggle so are of presumably little interest ! Marvellous. Although we all remember 1993 (if we're old enough) and are not counting any chickens...
You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue |

We are not safe yet, very, very nearly, but how the hell did Cardiff beat Saints... amazing things can happen in the relegation fight, as Tony said in an interview, 40 points would be nice!

to correct an error in my above post, Fulham could still overtake us if they only lose one of their remaining games but us gaining another point would mean they would have to win at least two of the three before playing us I think they still have a real chance of escaping relegation, better than Cardiff and Sunderland and Norwich
