been having little think ( dont worry i sat down)

looks like we we may beat the drop and have out first consecutive season in the premier league ever, and it feels good! and i honestly believe its our time to establish ourselves in the league.

it may seem strange but i think i would miss fighting for promotion or the playoffs in the championship, and although sometimes sickening, heart attack inducing, abut allways hugely exciting, the almost guarenteed relegtion battle.

if this was to be a new era in out clubs history would anyone else secretly miss our yoyo antics. i think i mite.

Good question!! Before we went up I always said no. I didn't wanna be a boring team who does nothing every season. Now we are in the Premiership it has been brilliant.

I do want Pulis to push us forward like he did Stoke. It will still be exciting beating the big boys now and again plus the Stadium will get done up etc.

Don't worry, we aren't a mid table club.

There will be drama, we will either be fighting for our lives, or soaring to great heights. It's what we do. It's in our DNA.

No . Give me mid table Prem all day long. The longer you do this the more chance you have of winning a cup or getting a little bit higher to go into EUROPE.

You sound like a Charlton fan who decided after seven or so years in the Prem thought they were better than that and turned on Curbishly and welcomed Ian Dowie.

jeez we are not even safe yet,

its more about progress. we stay up we can then realistically push forward and improve and build our little run down selhurst . become more attractive.. move with the times. ready for our next yoyo moment

being a mid table championship team this would be very difficult

win or lose to watford in the final, doesnt matter. OUR final was knocking brighton out the play offs........ enjoy your day every one

Should we stay up, Next season i expect us to be similar to this season (post holloway) - we will still be 'new' to the league and there for, certain games will be exciting for us.

We will be looking at taking a big boy scalp, with one eye on the bottom three - we can also have good cup runs.

I honestly think any 'true' palace fan will appreciate mid table mediocrity for a few years - so long as the football in enjoyable.

The club will be secure, a sell out selhurst and watching top flight football.

We will be able to enjoy Cup runs that would no longer be a distraction.

Then, we will probably start to push for Europe and that will be our new aim!!

But, i guarantee there will be people that moan.

Charlton is precisely who I thought of when I read this heading. They wanted "better" than being a mid-table Premiership club and look where they are now!

Why can't people spell 'definitely'?

For me the win against Chelsea was no better that the wins against Portsmouth and Stockport to avoid relegation and I probably enjoyed last season, in particular pre IH and the end of the season, way more than I have enjoyed most of this season.

The club needs to spend time in the Premiership for financial stability (assuming the owners don't do anything stupid) but for us fans I don't think it matters, or should matter, what division we are in.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

No. If we were midd-table regulars think of the things the club could do as we grow and invest.

personally I prefer the excitement of a championship promotion season, which obviously must bring with it the odd premiere league relegation season. What I do enjoy though, is Lording it over the weed. The more seasons in the prem, with them in the championship the wider the gap between us will get.

has resisted writing a single post on the Ross McCormack thread !!!
