Sorry to be negative but we must get behind the team more than ever now. Selhurst next week needs to be a fortress of sound. I remember vividly the lap of honour the palace side in 1993 did after beating Ipswich at home. That day we thought we were safe. The only team who could drag us down were Oldham and they had Villa (still in the title race at that time) Liverpool and Southampton to play and had to win them all. And guess what?! They bloody did! Until that fat lady sings we cannot allow complacency to kick us in the nuts!

We aren't safe yet, no, but I think a single point will pretty much see us there. Fulham, despite their win today are down in my opinion, as are Cardiff. Norwich are 2 points behind us with a far worse GD and I don't think they'll pick up more than one more point. That's not even including Sunderland. Obviously, I could be wrong and Norwich could pick up a win, but I'm 99% sure we're gunna survive.

This occured to me on drive home from Cardiff today. Still remember that last day of the season at Highbury when Wright scored. Back then listening to a radio on the terrace. If I remember right Oldham went 4-1 up, then it was 4-3, we were all praying Southampton to score. We are not safe yet but taken big steps in the right direction. Another couple of wins needed to be sure

Fortunately Pulis and the players will be well aware that we're not safe yet, unlike those talking about who we should look to sign for next seasons Premiership campaign for example. Huge game against Villa. Win that and we can start to celebrate.

Completely agree, but we are very nearly there. Cardiff are down, Fulham almost down and I cant see Sunderland picking up more than 8 points, so 34 may well be enough, but we don't want to risk it. A win against Villa though would make it almost a certainty and would make the remaining games a lot more relaxing and enjoyable. I really want the last home game against Liverpool to be a celebration of our survival, not needing to worry about the last game against Fulham.

Mathematically we still have a way to go, but the last couple of games have really helped us. We are now tied on points with Villa. A win next week could potentially put us in 12th. But a loss could put us 17th by Sunday if West Brom, Norwich and the Swans all win. If we draw and West Brom and Norwich win, we will be tied on 35 pts with West Brom, Norwich and Villa.

Nah, we are close to safe. Even if we have a mare from now on we will still be OK. Look at the run-ins, almost impossible now for us to end below Cardiff, Fulham, Norwich or Sunderland. 3 straight losses and we could be back under the line by April 20th with City, Liverpool and Fulham left to play!

If we beat Villa we are safe. 37 points will be enough. Even a draw could be alright this season.

One more win please Palace.. if not 3 draws, which I feel is do able with our next 3 games. Great to see the two other teams we came up with, we have done the double over. That is pretty impressive.
Just when I thought that I was out...........they pull me back in |
