Had to work today but luckily caught most of the match on 5 live radio driving back down M1. Claridge was co- commentating and started off dissing Palace for time wasting and bigging up Cardiff and it became blatantly obvious who he wanted to win. Even though 5 live missed all the goals live by going to other matches and covering the grand national it was great to hear claridges' whining and moaning reaching hysterical fever pitch as we took control of the game. The guy was really gutted,banging on about how the Cardiff team are so much better than this and laying into ole g.s for not setting the team up properly. He really doesn't like us.

We were time wasting. So he was right to moan about it. I was happy, but then, I'm not exactly impartial.

And again, I think he was right about Cardiff. They are 'better' than their position implies. For a start they have Zaha, who, if some posters are to be believed, singlehandedly took us to the Prem. I listened to him and thought his beef was with bad management from Cardiff as opposed to being 'anti Palace'.

Unfortunately Claridge still holds a huge grudge against Palace for not getting a fair crack of the whip when with us. The only problem was we were just starting a new forward partnership of two unknown players named Mark Bright & Ian Wright.
Need to read his book "Tales from the Boot Camps".

Complaining about us time wasting seems odd...we scored 3 and easily could have had a 4th!
