Possession in football is the most useless stat that doesn't really prove anything. Our low possession rate is due to the fact we are frustrating opposition by parking our defensive mids directly infront of our back four. Making extremely difficult for teams to break us down. It's clear TP wants to concede as little as possible then try to rob the odd goal on the break, which if our players could hit the target would actually work. But no one in our team, at the moment can strike anything on target!

But like any other sport, the more chances of scoring runs, points or goals you have the more you will score. I don't know what the ratio of goals to chances is in football, but we are expecting our players to take one in every two at the moment, a totally unrealistic ratio in the modern game, bar Ronaldo and Messi. Also with every miss confidence goes, just as with every success confidence grows. No one in the side has a confident touch in front of goal, but with so little match practice it's hardly surprising. I know lots on here are not bothered by the negative tactics and that's fine as everyone is entitled to their views, but we will not stay up if we don't try to be a little more proactive. That is my opinion and I really do hope I'm wrong, but..................

To be successful with counter attack football we need to pass better, make better choices, cross better and shoot better. We really miss Wilf for those speedy breakaways (like Peterboro away for example).

I read loads of posts yesterday that suggested we were "heroes but unlucky". I think we were lucky that Loic Remy wasn't playing as he would have notched at least 3 of the four gilt edged chances that fell to Cisse. And it was inevitable that Cisse would eventually notch himself after that service to him. Next week Chelsea will open us up more times than Newcastle did, so it will be a damage limitation exercise. What worries me is the week after. I watched the full 90 minutes of Cardiff V Liverpool and Cardiff are very strong in attack and have talented players that will cause us problems. We need to get them on the back foot. Our "defensive" midfield system isn't working for me and we need to drop KG (we don't need 2 defensive CM's) and play Bannan who will take the game to the opposition. I think we should play Ward as a right back and Ledley as left back (he's looked good when put there) and Dann and Delaney central. Mariappa is best at right back, but not as good as Ward. I would play Murray and Chamakh up top and Bolasie and Puncheon as wingers with Jedi in the middle. Ince as an impact sub with 30 mins to go. I still think teams will get us but at least we can carry some threat to them which we haven't done for weeks now.

Before Pulis dropped him he was playing brilliantly and won us the game v Hull. I cannot understand why he was dropped. If not Bannan to replace KG then O'Keefe... he would be a better option and has found the net, which is something KG seems allergic to.

Cisse notched with his fifth chance I think. Our team don't get 5 chances in a match. Maybe even CamJam would score if he had five chances in one match..... then again

No I don't think our defense is that bad ,in fact I reckon defensively we are at least a good average. No our problem is all about goals!. To win we must score and I just hope Pulis now sees that by soaking up pressure for seventy or eighty minutes we are not going to get three points,if we are very lucky we might get a point here and there. Forward and upward by attacking football.

Because you thick c*** , Stoke have been in the Premiership the last six years and therefore have the money to attract, buy and pay Premiership players . The same Stoke we beat at home this year. The same Stoke who Tony Pulis got to the Premiership and kept them there for those six years.
