First of all, good luck for the rest of the season. I really do like a lot of Stoke supporters hope Palace stay up. I was wondering what your opinions on Tony Pulis are now hes gone past the honeymoon period. Are you happy with the decision your board made?

Im genuinly interested in your thoughts.

Thanks

You've probably posted this at the worst possible time, as there's a lot of doom and gloom on here at the moment (for some reason).

Personally, I think Pulis is doing what he has to to make our inadequate squad competitive. He's on course to keep us up, which would be a phenomenal achievement, and then hopefully work on improving the squad over the summer and push on from there.

I like him and I think he is and was the best man for the job in our circumstances
He is here to do a job which is to keep us up,for which he is getting well paid.
As for his type of football its not my style but hey ho,if he keeps us up that will do me.

If we go down it won't be Pulis' fault.

To be honest he's given us a fighting chance but that is all.

I think we would be already relegated, but for him.

Terrible to watch, but given what he has to work with, I don't think he has much option.

If we stay up, it's going to need a massive investment to make us competitive next term

Depends what your individual take on it is son.

If you watch Football as a source of entertainment like going to the movies or going to a comedy club and happy to pay £25 odd quid to be royaly entertained then as you know TP is not the compare/Host you want to hire.

If however you want to brag to your Milwall or Charlton or in my case Brighton chums too that we are premier league then and get all the shizzle that comes with being premier league, then, well maybe he is the man.

Let me turn the question on you, how do you now feel since your board sacked him for playing boring negative robotic football over a long period of time in favour of exciting creative moving forward dynamic football ?

There's an 'Away Fans' area so why don't you post on there; there's always a few ar$e lickers who'll talk to anyone.

Is the Hughes style of football that much different from Pulis? From when I saw Stoke at Palace it seems it was just pass the ball around the back 4 a bit, then either a defender of N'Zonzi humps it forward, Crouch knocks it down and you play for second balls. Didn't seem this 'progressive' new football that Hughes was trying to implement that I'd heard about.

Probably doesn't help that I think Mark Hughes is an arrogant pr*ck

But in answer to your question, I'm happy with Pulis. Done a great job with some very limited players. His style is frustrating at times but seems to be working, although he does seem to be getting more and more cautious.

Unnecessary. The OP posted a polite and civil question; perhaps you could respond in kind and if not, don't bother to respond at all.

He was the best possible choice under the cirumstances and came just in the nick of time to give us a fighting chance of staying up. He knows his business and is honest as well as being good with the media.

One of the more interesting posts on here and you have to knock it. If you have nothing positive, interesting or half considered to say, why bother posting?

Yes, I would be really interested in this answer. Because at the moment the style of play feels like a necessary evil to buy us time and therein revenue. But in two or three years we would like some entertainment, do you think we will get it with TP?
