I have been calming down after yet again another abject performance today and have had a bit of time for contemplation. Whilst I hate this style of football and think we are probably the most boring team to have ever graced the premier league at the moment, I think it will keep us up. Whilst my gut instinct says i'd rather be entertained in the championship than bored in the premiership I know that I need to focus on the long term ambition. If we were to stay up playing dull football for three years we would be financially secure. From that we could then part ways with Pulis and bring a manager in with a decent size budget to transform the club in to a more entertaining brand of football. I guess this is what Stoke have been trying to do but for some reason employed another boring manager in Hughes. What do you guys think? Are you happy to forgo short term entertainment and spend weekends thoroughly bored and frustrated for long term success or would you rather we went out in a blaze of glory but ultimately were just another yo yo club?

I'd love to stay up but I want us to actually try to win games and not to settle for a point. my team would be: Ward, Dann, Delaney, Moxey Defensively solid but can actually play football with Bannan passing the ball around the park and it will stop Murray or chamakh being so isolated.

It never ceases to amaze me just how greedy some fans get. A matter of years ago we nearly went out of existence. Then though a comparative miracle considering the squad size and wages we are promoted in no time at all. Pulis comes in and does fantastically well do get us the points total we have and all I'm hearing is that the football isn't entertaining enough. This is a joke. We had no chance at Christmas....And now some want us to be entertaining. Maybe some people should go and support a team with the money to provide the kind of football they want.

I get where you're coming from and i'm happy to do this for a few years but it's not a long term model in my opinion. At the end of the day a sport is meant to be fun and entertaining. We pay £30 a game for enjoyment surely? I certainly have not enjoyed last few weeks- just been really bored. But as per my original post, i'll happily be bored for a couple of years if it's part of a bigger plan.

For me it's all about staying up, then giving Pulis a full season to see what he can do, to be fair he is playing catch up after our shocking start, so needs to grind out these results. At least we are not getting regular beatings, how many times have Norwich been turned over by 3 or 4 goals? The way some people have been reacting on Twitter, you would think we were bottom of the championship!

Here here, you know what is really boring being beaten week in week out and existing just as a means for teams to up their goal difference. If it weren't for Pulis I think we'd have been relegated by now. Holloway tried to play more 'pretty' football, and probably cost us the season. That 7 game loss streak, that's costing us more now than the Tony Pulis approach.

Staying up is the only thing that matters this season. It's unlikely Pulis will still be our manager next season, so let's just wait and see..

Dont understand the "bored" comments... today wasnt great... but our other games in recent weeks have had me on the edge of my seat.. swans and soton included... Maybe its just because ive lived as a season ticket holder through the trevor ftancis and peter taylor years... but there is absolutely no way id call this season boring ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED Edited by cols123 (15 Mar 2014 10.36pm)
