I see aresnal have been given nearly 43000 while wigan get nearly 23000, im sure wigan could sell more for this one!whats that got to do with us you ask? well, im stil bitter about our measly 14000 in 1990 when moan united got 24000, that extra 10000 could make all the difference in noise and effectively refs desissions, let alone a lino, and we were only about 5 mins away from winning even thou we werte 10000 fans down, i thought it would be 50/50 split in todays game !

It's more offensive that neutrals and sponsors get more tickets than Wigan do.

That's a joke. It's giving the advantage to Arsenal. Surely the fair way to do it would be to split it evenly and if Wigan don't sell out their half, offer Arsenal more.

I agree with the sentiment but Wigan is a Rugby town and the majority don't give a monkeys about football.

ok, i have to backtrack a bit, think wigan agreed to this amount based on last years allocation, but its stil a good topic to air my anger at the fa for our measley 14000 in 1990! That was like giving bolt a 50 m lead in the olympic final! Who the f..k in the fa got away with that? Its hurting a little less after 24 years, i should be over it in next 24! Now to start my thread about liverpool taking our european place!

Wigan wont even sell their allocation. They have a squad that's bigger than their fanbase.

Yep, the 14,000 v Moan U still hurts. Those were the good old days when you queued in the car park all night.

No it doesn't look fair but you have two teams which have a big difference in supporters who go to their matches.

All I keep reading on here are complaints about 'fair weather fans'. So the more tickets you give Wigan to get closer to Arsenal's amount the more of these supporters will go to the semi-final and the less amount of supporters who follow Arsenal week in-week out can go.

Looking at some Wigan matches this season they never got more than a 20,000 attendance. There last home match, (on a Wed.) against Sheff. Wed was 15,039, there last Sat match, against Charlton was 14,341.

The idea of splitting it evenly, then if Wigan don't sell there's, so offer Arsenal more would be difficult to manage because isn't there a danger of Arsenal & Wigan fans being in the same section?

I agree with Stuk that so many neutrals and sponsors get so many tickets.

Interesting to read the following from the official Wigan website. 'Wigan Athletic will receive an allocation of 22,807. This is a mutually agreed figure between the club and the FA, based on the ticket numbers sold for last year’s final' on their ticket info page.

Good old days of 1st come 1st served, I was 8th in queue by gate next to the Glaziers with my Tv and video recorder watching the semi over and over again

14k allocation was pants but based on our ave 17k we had to live with it, Manure 26k allocation when they had an average of 50k was also low based on their ave
