I'm coming up the last game of the season, but as the earliest train from here is 09.21am on a Sunday and arrives in Victoria, where I would at expect most Palace to meet at 13.21pm, it's pushing it to get a few beers in before going to Putney Bride and walking 20mins to the ground.

So my question is, if we come up on the Sat night, where is best to stay in London area near to Victoria, that is cheapish?

Any help appreciated.

Looking at the trains probably get the tube from paddington on the Sunday at 12.40 arriving at Putney bridge at 13.15ish. What pubs do you think we'll drink at Jamie?

Train cost for journey is already at £68.90!! Bloody joke!!

Unless you've got about 1700 loyalty points you probably won't get a ticket...

Queens Hotel at Crystal palace.....
Not the greatest in the world but if you phone then the (executive) rooms are pretty good with great views over London plus you get the bonus of travelling to the game with other Palace fans....
Pretty good area too... plenty of pubs and eateries and lots of history around.....
About £65 per night....Free parking and cheap bar at happy hour....

For me i'd head to Hammersmith, loads of pubs & accom (premier/Travelodge etc).
from my memory of Fulham away (and it's been a while) pubs where hard to get into and most were home only so we stayed in hammersmith and wandered down later.

last game of the season, could be a cliff hanger and you've no points from previous away games this season.

If I were you, i'd be looking for a pub to watch it in as you wont be at Craven Cottage sir....
