Yh I saw this when the Metro tweeted it.. On his profile says "Journalist" - really he's a 2-bob blogger. I have always thought Saints fans were very "up their own ...." but this seals it for me. Totally misinformed. Move on - poor wannabe writer that wouldn't have his writing posted in any paid for paper

I don't like it but I have to say there's a few home truths in his article. As a Palace fan, it was a long way from a performance I could be proud of.

tbh its slightly biased as he has completely confessed, he's a southampton fan, a blogger and not a journo. What has he actually written there that's wrong? Nothing at all, it's just that no-one on here wants to hear the truth from a non Palace point of view thats all. We had one shot on target against a not very special team. we avaerage 30% possession on a good day and i'm sure half of that is picking the ball out of the net as well. Apart from the headline, I'm not sure he was far off the mark on the evidence of our performance on Saturday. If we take off our collective rose coloured spectacles we surely cannot argue that we were anything but awful against Southampton. We never looked like scoring and were completely lacking in any creative or imaginative play. Saints fans can only judge us on what they saw and you cannot blame them for going away with a pretty low estimation of us. We are all probably guilty of making similar generalised judgements about teams that visit us at Selhurst. But that's the nature of being a supporter - you don't bother that much about the finer details of the performances of your rivals, unless they are playing your team.

Tough to read, but hard to disagree with some points. Don't forget that his opinion comes from watching the 90 minutes last Saturday, not from seeing us play every week.
