Come one, come all, the Selhurst 6aside tournament is back this season. This is your chance to play at Selhurst, against fellow Palace fans, for the chance to win the Supporters Cup. Unfortunately last year's tourno had to be postponed at the last minute due to the first team training on the pitch prior to the play-off final, but this year CPFC2010 has allowed us to be the ONLY tournament that goes ahead on the pitch itself this year. You don't want to miss this opportunity. Competition details The tournament will take place on Sunday May 4th. Start time will be around 1pm. The final should be completed by 6.15pm. There are 20 places available - teams will be divided into 4 groups, with the top two teams from each qualifying for the knock out phases. Minimum age 16, male, female and mixed entries welcomed. Standard laws of the game apply. Entry details No inflation in these parts - entry costs £125 per team, same as last year. If you wish to enter a team, please first register your interest by sending me a PM. I will reply with bank details for you transfer the deposit (£100). This will secure your place. The balance of £25 will be due by April 18th. No mucking about this year - the first teams to make the deposit, secure the places. Once you have paid your deposit, I will confirm entry by PM. Misc Food will be available, and the Glaziers Bar will be open. Ample parking is available in the exec car park. Supporters are more than welcome to come and watch; more the merrier. **Caveat** The sharp eyed amongst you will might note that as it stands this is the day after the Liverpool home match. As the pitch renovations begin the very next Monday this tournament cannot be accommodated anywhere else on the calendar, so at present we are at the mercy of the football scheduling anti-christs. We believe however that due to the fact the Man City match is being broadcast live the week before, they'll leave us alone for this one! It goes without saying that if it does succumb, full refunds will be given. Any questions, please ask on thread.

If anyone is short of a half decent, ageing 5-a-side goalie, do let me know, i'd be happy to join in....

Thanks for all the PMs - places are now provisioanlly filled. There's always a chance that one or more teams do not pay the deposit however, so if you're still keen, do send my a PM with your mobile number and I'll put you on the waiting list. Cheers

Due to quite incredible demand, we're going to create extra matches this year for those that have missed out on the competion, or haven't got enough players for a full team. Between the end of the group phases and the knockout stages, and then as the knockouts progress, there will be pitches spare for informal friendlies. In total, 14 standard 12 minute matches can be accommodated during this time, which should be more than enough for everyone who wants to have a run-out on the hallowed turf. No cap on your time - if you're feeling fit just keep going for the whole 48 minutes (with 3 min breaks between each 12 minute slot). The matches will be very informal and self-policed, i.e. likely no refs. So be good! What this allows is a chance for anyone to get involved. Particularly those who wanted to play, but didn't have a fixed team, or those that had half a team, or even a chance for a group of mates to book a pitch and get together to have a one-off friendly. The point is, it opens up SP to more fans. I've opened a register which allows anyone to commit to coming along on the day and getting involved. There is no charge for this, but we do ask that you make a donation (suggested minimum £2 per player per 12 minutes), which will be split between CPFC Study Centre and CPFC Foundation. To register/ reserve a slot/ pitch; For individuals: send me a PM with your name, tel number, preferred position, and approx age & standard, and how long you'd like to play for (12, 24, 36 or 48 minutes). For 2 - 5 individuals, i.e. not quite enough for a full team: send me a PM with name and number for point of contact, listing each player's preferred position, and approx age & standard, and how long you'd like to play for (12, 24, 36 or 48 minutes). For teams: send me a PM with name & contact number, confirming how many matches you want to play (maximum 4). We'll juggle everything after that and make sure that everyone who wanted a game on the Selhurst Park pitch, will get one. Edited by tasty_snacks (14 Mar 2014 4.19pm)
