Just saw a picture of Clinton Morrison kissing the badge (for whatever reason he was feeling nostalgic and retweeting pictures of his career). Surely has to be the greatest show of passion and affection to the club whilst celebrating. Was just wondering who the last player you can remember who kissed the badge in celebration for us was? As I can't remember any recently (although it could be my memory completely failing me). Also, any particular favourite 'badge kissing' celebrations from the past? Would love someone like Murray to score the goal to keep us up, and knee slide in front of the Holmesdale and kiss the badge, would be mad scenes! Edited by CroftonEagle (07 Mar 2014 9.29pm)

IF somebody was paying you a bucketload of money every week, for working at a hobby, would you kiss their badge ?

I swear Moritz kissed the badge after scoring against Bristol City last season. I might be wrong though.

I may be a cynic but I think the word is not affection - more affectation. It means nothing and they could just as easily bugger off in the next transfer window without a backward glance

My daughter kisses her badge and knee slides everytime she scores. Problem is she was born in Brighton and despite my best attempts she has gone native and supports Brighton. Break's my heart to see her slide towards me in the blue and white tesco bag kit kissing her badge. Bit like seeing Ian Wright doing it when we went down

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money. |
