With Chamakh injured, I honestly think his could be a blessing in disguise. Chamakh has done nothing wrong and worked his socks off but his injury should be used to see what a partnership of Muray/Gayle could offer us. I think they could compliment each other beautifully. Murray's heading ability and hold up play with Gayle's flair and pace. Bright & Wright anyone? Southampton is a great fixture to try it out in a 4-4-2 formation I think.

Now is not the time to experiment. We need Puncheon back. Gayle is too lightweight to start. As a sub nearer the end 'yes'. When we are safe hopefully Dwight will be given his chance properly. Last two or three games.

I totally agree. Gayle and Murray could complement eachother and I think it's worth trying. I really feel for Gayle as I think he's got the ability to succeed at this level and he hasnt been given the chance. Cameron Jerome and Murray are similar players and cant be played together. Murray winning flick ons for Gayle could be exciting. Edited by croftonglazier (03 Mar 2014 9.29pm)

I think next season that could well be a good partnership but as Kermit says now is not the time to experiment. Play Murray up top with Bolasie, Puncheon, Ince behind.

I would go for Murray up top with Ince tucked in behind him. Bolasie and Puncheon on the flanks. Oh and TP dont give Saints too much respect and sit too deep like the Manure game. They are a bit fragile at the moment so lets go for their throats and KO them in the first half

If Chamakh is injured, then I think we don't have much choice, though we might play Ince in behind Murray in a 4-5-1 - Chamakh will be a big loss to us though.

Yes, Pulis said "Punch was looking a bit tired" in his after match interview. Bless.
Most certainly not European. |

If they don't think he is ready then neither do I. Not for the full 90 anyway.

I think Jerome and Muzza looked really affective against Swansea, A bully with pace and a clinical finisher is better then a youngster who gets shrugged off the ball and on the odd occasion scores a goal. Bar Villa Gayle has always looked ineffective.
