Thats what it comes down too - mindset - we showed yesterday that once TP who admitted to the lads at half time he had it wrong and to basically go out and play that we can play positive attacking football, those last 15 mins we bossed the game and was exciting to watch and I am sure thats what most football supporters want to see at any level.

We needed to chase the game to score once we went 1 down so HAD to play, did the same v Man utd once they had scored, we have the players who can play ie Bolasie, Ince, Bannan, Ward, puncheon, gayle etc it's in there DNA to want to get forward create chances and score..

Maybe we need a sports pyschologist if we haven't already got one to work this message into the team and get them thinking differently and not like they probably are ie 'we are expected to go down, weakest squad, little palace, lost a manager, scraped through play offs etc etc.

Change your mindset change the outcome..

I don't really agree. The team will play whatever system they are directed to by the manager. Yesterday was simple. We were atrocious first half and the manager came out and took responsibility for the tactical error. We changed tactics and were better. Therefore, to me, the tactics are where the problems lay, not the mindset.

I know what the OP is getting at. I felt the first half showed a team whose focus was on trying to stop Swansea playing and whose minds weren't quite right when it came to attempting a break.

In the end, it saved us to a point as we were still in the game at HT having seen next to nothing of the ball, but in doing what he did, Pulis took the pressure of having had a bad 45 off the players. In that sense, no psychologist needed as TP did the job himself!

I would be astonished if the club do not employ a full time psychologist.

What I find funny is first half we tried to pass the ball out which is what most people want, we kept losing the ball to a pressing Swansea side and we had to sit deep to stop them knackering us out. Second half our first display of the Turgid Hoofball, Yet it was entertaining and resulted in a draw away from home that could quite easily have been a win. More to Pulis then the media will tell you.

We need to get in Steve Peters. Look at what's happened to Liverpool since he's been working with Gerrard, Rodgers and Sturridge etc.

It's not the players who need the trick cyclist, but TP. Once he realises he has put together a good little bunch and has the confidence to say ' go get', Palace will shoot up the table. Watch out for next season then!

Yes indeed we had a full time shrink but when Ollie left we dispensed with the shrink's services. No we do not need him no more , all we need now is to get some decent crosses in and Glen will do the rest.

Technically a shrink is a psychiatrist, not a psychologist.

Because he worked full time on Ollie, maybe?

Of course he worked full time on Ollie. Now Millwall are advertising for someone to work on Ollie full time1.
