Pulis did quite well in the January market but his decision to not get a new striker may cost us as we approach the hardest run of games. Murray works hard but he doesn't have the technical skill to score goals in the PL. Chamakh is not a natural goal scorer. Jerome isn't good enough. Gayle seems to be useless (at least at the moment). As much as I hate saying this, Steve Bruce did exactly the right thing by bringing in Jelavic and Long and developing a good strike force. They say that a team is only as good as their strikers and on that basis,we face a real struggle to survive.

Prior to Murray's return I was skeptical of him being able to score goals but he seems a lot sharper than I thought he would be at this stage. Hopefully with another 90 minutes under his belt he'll start banging them in again. Have faith.

we just lost to MAN UTD. Prior to the game we had won 3 out of our last 4 games. we are 15th in the league with a game in hand over most of our rivals. chamakh is our top goalscorer and is class. gayle is not useless hence the goal at villa. if hull want to spend bucket loads and wage bills and gamble with their future let them do it.
murray has only made 2 appearances and actually we are in a great position to survive. i couldnt disagree more with your post. have a good nights sleep and im sure things will look better in the morning

I'd rather be in our position than Cardiff, Fulham and Sunderland.

What a pile of rubbish. Murray is still not fully match fit, chamakh when he gets a chance has a high conversion rate - give me these 2 over long and jellyfish everytime. We were playing the current league champions they were playing a side that already looks doomed.

Shut up, we got one. He is called Glen Murray, he scored 30 goals last season to get us here. I think that entitles him to a run of games don't you?
I also think his display yesterday gave me some confidence that he will be fine when match fit and up to speed.

Murray showed some nice touches but he is a fair way of being match fit, two or three more games and hopefully we will see him getting back to his old form.

I don't think we had enough money to buy a striker in jan.

We should remember that Glenn had lost his goal-scoring magic even before his injury. After a fantastic run his goals dried up - which means he needs to get back to his early-season form, rather than where he was before he was injured. Here's hoping!

Get Bolasie starting ahead of Puncheon and he'll get the service he needs.

Obviously he is not match fit or even close to it but already Murray has proved he is capable of playing and scoring at this level - something which many doubted.
