What a pity for the boys, this result. Only a penalty really, then Rooney showing why they pay him £42,000 a day (!). Apart from that, Wardy didn't look out of place and Champers looks dedicated and honest, something I didn't ever think I'd say. And Jedi is seriuosly harmful. With Glen Minty Murray getting sharper, no way the Eagles are going down. But more goals please....surely they will arrive.

I think we're at least a season away from giving teams like Man U some problems. Moyes has made them weaker than the sum of their parts but they are still too strong for us. He made VP ineffective by playing him on the wing, the movement was nowhere near what it used to be for them and in the first half they kept pinging it to the wonderkid who did not have the beating of Ward. But still they were the best team ive seen at Selhurst this season. If Moyes gets them firing they will be among the best in Europe. Thought Smalling was good coming forward, but they badly need some defenders. Easy to see why better teams than us have been beating them.
