Would have thought it would be the officials that made the decision, and therefore need to apologise.

Wasn't it called off because things started falling off the stadium round the time it got called off? If so then it's hard to predict that and call it off earlier.By the sounds of it half the fans would of been stuck on the motorway through most of the game anyway.Just got to put it down to Mother Nature but I can't see why they need to apologise.

Yes they have apologised. Not that they really need to, if it's as dangerous as it sounds then they didn't have a choice did they. Sometimes things just happen out of anyone's control and nothing anyone can do to change it. It's terribly unfortunate for everyone who has travelled to the game, and I'd be furious if I'd gone tonight, but that's life unfortunately.

Palace should offer free travel again when the game is re-scheduled - that's the least that the fans deserve. Maybe the FA can pay the club back as an apology but I doubt they care. Bureaucracy and money.

But how often do the met office give a red warning?Apparently the weather has been like this all day up there. Feel very sorry for the lads who travelled. But fair play to Everton for apologizing.

I was in the Goodison press room when the confirmation came through the game wouldn't be happening. It is annoying but just one of those things, would have been a complete farce had it gone ahead IMO.
