Ever since it was built we have had no access through many of the exits in the Lower Holmesdale As a result it's a mighty pain getting out at the end of the game and so people do tend to leave with two or three minutes still to go It's also a huge waste Anyone know what has happened to the original plans (a bowling alley that was refused planning permission as I recall), why the lower part of the Lower Holmesdale isn't used for anything and if anyone is going to do anything about it?

It's underwater, as Moose insinuated, and not due to the recent weather. Due to the crap construction of it.
Optimistic as ever |

Where do they actually lead to? The exits at the back of the lower tier on row 40 are at ground level so where do the exits around about row 24 go to? Do they chuck a left, a right, go under the neighbourhood outside and straight to The Cherry Trees or The Whitehorse? South Norwood nic?

Are you sure it needs replacing, that isn't what was said on HOL a few months back is it? Don't get how it can be full of water when it's at the same level as the seats etc. Surely the water would find a way out. Maybe there's a sump in the basement further down, but at the level of the exits?

Poor sods in the Arthur have One exit, Don't know why it could be made possible for fans to leave from the front of the stands and out by the corners, Would make life a lot easier for most.

Simon Jordan said in his book that the Holmesdale Stand was built with loads of unfinished fixtures and fittings and levels. Thanks Uncle Ron! It's shame the lower and basements levels can't be used. There must be some way of pumping out the water and ensuring it doesn't come back? I'm sure Steve Parish said it'd be easier to knock it down and build from scratch again one day, that's how crap it is. Edited by Penge Eagle (11 Feb 2014 10.07pm)

With West Ham going to the Olympic Stadium in 2016 I'm guessing CPFC2010 are going to plan some possible developments for that time and we'll go into Upton Park during construction. The number of PL seasons we have between now and then I guess will determine a lot.
