Our support has been awesome for a few seasons now, but this season has pushed on even further, with recognition for other fans, players, managers, plaudits, etc., etc. We have also attracted new supports, which is a good thing, But will this continue next season if we do get relegated?

Yes. I think if we go down -- which is looking less and less likely -- the owners through their willingness to invest and the manager through what he's achieved in the past few months make it pretty clear that we'll be in a very good position to come straight back up and, hard as it is to believe, we are becoming a club people want to be associated with. I mean, Tom Ince chose Palace... If we go down but we're comfortably bouncing straight back up by next November, people will just say we're on a learning curve and on our way back to stay. Call me an optimist, but I see only good things ahead for Palace.

I believe we will stay up too, but as you all know being a Palace is never an easy ride.

If we were to get the drop. We would only lose the plastics. The support will be there like they were for the many seasons in the championship.

I don't think our support at home has been better than it was last season, Bigger crowds yes but the atmosphere isn't better. Arthur has got much louder but the Holmsdale is quieter in my opinion. To many day trippers that have gone into Block C&D to soak up the HF atmosphere but not add anything to it. Our away support has been better,We are obviously taking more away than last season and the vast majority get behind the team throughout. It is all getting a bit cringe that we keep banging on about how great our support is.

Plastics cant go to most away games due to the point system.
DJ John Peel once said: "Supporting Palace has a certain cult value, like pretending that some Peruvian rock band is the best in the world." |

Deffo lose around 5,000 overnight should the worst happen. But we won't because the worst that could happen won't happen. Should be looking at increasing the capacity at Selhurst to 28,000 and allow those non-members with a decent booking history to get unsold tickets.

a guy started talking to me in the queue for toilets at half time last game saying "it's really great to be able to get tickets to the premier league so close to home" When I tried to talk team with him, he had no idea who Wilfried Zaha, Ian Holloway, or Kevin Phillips were! People who are only interested because it's a prem. league team aren't real fans to worry about losing, like it's been said...they're not contributing anything to the atmosphere.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. It's good to be positive, but I find it odd that so many people are saying we're now staying up and even the papers are saying it! We've got Chelsea, United, City and Liverpool all at home. Since we can only seem to win at homee, it only leaves Villa and Southampton as teams we can realistically beat at home. We are going to struggle for points unless we start winning away. It will go to the wire and I still think we'll need to beat Fulham on the last day to have a chance of survival.
