I hope he gets a new contract come the end of the season. Feel he was a little unlucky to be dropped today, but dann did look good.

Got a feelin he will be released come the end of the season.

Felt gutted for him. I though Dann looked out of sorts at first and made a mistake which nearly let WBA score early on. He did improve as the game went on.

I agree. Think Gabs has been largely excellent since the end of last season...

Gabbidon has played well this season and is unlucky to lose his place but will no doubt get his chance and is great cover. It great we have quite a few options now all over the park. Our bench looked decent today.

Dann was sluggish early on and to blame for letting Anchibee clean thru early on and WBA could have gone one up. That could been a disaster but we got away with it. I think based on today's performance ..Gabbidon and Delaney are a more solid pairing than Delaney and Dann. Hope Dann settles in but agree Gabbidon is doing well for us.

Very unlucky to lose his place IMO but it makes for good competition.

I thought Dann was pretty poor tbh. Positioning was poor and slow to recover. Joel Ward saved him a number of times. The whole idea of Pulis is that he makes it hard for players to get in first team. I would have made Scott Dann work for his place. I understand Ince starting as Jerome doesn't deserve ot be near the team but was bemused by Dann ahead of Gabbidon.

Gabs is a great asset and is still worthy of a place in the 1st team. If he decides to move on (surely not good for the club) he will be in demand and worth a high value transfer. There are a couple in the youth side ready to move up and Gabs mustn't be allowed to deny them reserve team time.

Gabbidon is 34 moving on 35, and out of contract at the end of the season. Monetary wise, he is worth next to nothing, as he can leave on a free at the end of the season.

I was thinking about this earlier. Is Innis ready for Premiership? Probably not, being loaned to League Two standard. Maybe in 2 or 3 years, having consolidated on loan to Championship level at least (a la Chalobah at Watford), but between now and then we need a player in his twenties. Gabbidon won't last till 2017. We need more permanent quality, and I trust Pulis' judgement in Dann, even if he takes a while to get to grips.

Agree, Dann organised the defence well, but looked a little slow and didn't dominate in the air. We looked vulnerable defending corners without Gabbidon.

Dann obviously needs to get an understanding going with DD. Playing him against WBA was a big risk given how well DD and DG have performed. However, after a slow start he started improving and in a few games he will prove to be a very good aquisition.

DG will almost certainly go at the end of this season should we stay up. I expect KG, Moxey, McCarthy, Price, Jerome (loan expiration)and Thomas from the present squad to leave as well. Mariappa is another who may go but this depends on whether TP wants him or Hunt as back up at right back.

TP will bring in five or so new players and we will have a squad looking for mid table safety next season.
