When things go against you and you know that there is little you can do to influence a change, then it takes a hell of a person to admit that they are the problem, when you could easily keep telling yourself that things will only get better.
Obviously we are far from knowing that we're safe, but as much as we can say that Pulis as worked miracles to get us into the position we're in, I really feel the club and the fans owe a lot of gratitude to Holloway for resigning when he did. I wonder how long the board would of stuck by Holloway if he stuck by his guns, and would then wonder what position the club would be in now.
I do wonder what must be going through Holloway's head seeing where Palace are at now. Whatever it is, I think we raise a glass to the man, no matter where the club finishes at the end of the season.

he was paid to do a job and he wasn't very good at it.
Only just made it into the play offs and chose a very bizarre 25 man squad.

I won't raise a glass to him leaving a complete mess but will wish him all the best in finishing as low as possible this season with Scumwall.

Not sure he deserves the praise you're heaping on him, he made a lot of mistakes, during his reign at palace, and we were a tad fortunate to make the play offs in the end.

Maybe the board forced him out? Who knows. If so, then conducted with great diplomacy. I have I hard feelings, and I felt sorry for him. Despite promotion, I don't think he ever quite fitted in, even though I think he genuinely seemed excited to be here.

We all move on.

Seeing him at Millwall, I have no issue. Seeing Zaha at Cardiff, now that's tragic.

Mate, firstly he left and didn't wait for the golden "Thanks, but no thanks anymore, here's your compo" goodbye.

Secondly, promotion has suddenly become like falling down the stairs for some on here because we had the same 10 players plus Garvan or Moritz available with opponents unprepared for them for 8 or so games. Many have forgotten we had no Garvan, Moritz or Williams for over 2 months. That is when we and any manager would've struggled. If it was so straight forward, noone would care about getting players in now to keep us up.

Thirdly, I think where IH was doomed to fail was losing Murray, Zaha, Bolasie for a couple of months, and Moritz & Garvan judged not good enough. (only DF wanted Moritz and after scoring a few, isn't picked)

Fourth, I don't think the squad was in as such a mess as people think. Millen and TP used the same players and got results. Where IH went wrong was a confused strategy. Too many brand new players debuting, too many changes. Gayle 1st forward on the teamsheet. Trying to be too optimistic about what we could do, without being able to start it off, playing deep at the back with the mindset of being dominant/attacking.

There were a few errors in the additions made, but they've all gone now, so they're hardly unwanted everywhere.

Luckily for us and Parish's decisions when needed, we got DF who made about 75% good decisions on players, just probably hasn't got the intelligence and nerve to match other managers. We got IH who had 1 promo and 1 very nearly play off promo under his belt. And the best survival manager we could've wished for. You can't chop and change manager like that with our size so we're lucky they did it for us, otherwise I doubt that sequence of events would have happened somewhere down the line.

Doing a great job at Millwall, his results are now consistent with what ours were before he left. Please
carry on until they are relegated along with the clowns.

Generally did well. Got worn out and emotional and could no longer show proper leadership. Chose to fall on his sword. Top, top bloke.

Mind blowingly accurate, word for word my thoughts

It doesn't matter how Palace were promoted by Olly. He did the job, nothing more to say. Moving on he wasn't doing a successful job of gleaning points up in the prem so he moved on. Nothing more to there either. What's everybodies problem?

Who's got a problem?

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham
