“I’m going to be at Palace – they’re a great club. I’m looking forward to the game.”

He said leaving court in an Arsenal top!

The last time I spoke to Sansom was when he was playing for Croydon FC many years ago. He was telling us about the Turkey v England match he played in.Locals were driving past the England team hotel on the night before the game tooting their horns all night to keep the England players awake - England beat them 8-0 !

I noticed this as well. I wonder who's been more supportive of his plight recently? Us or Arsenal? Judging on Sunday's silence probably us.

I know Kenny very well, hes been doing great recently, he is working a bit at palace and is loving it, I bought him to a game a few months ago and he sat talking to bobby and nelly whom have both been working at palace for 56 years, he really enjoyed talking about his days at palace, he was a brilliant player and its good to see him rebuilding his life, may have gone to arsenal but was made at palace from a kid

Have no sympathy for blokes that beat their girlfriends.
Drunk or not, no excuse and no kind of roll model to have around young lads starting out in football.
He also celebrated when the gooners scored their second goal. hes a gooner

Alas there's no 'like' button for me to press, but I enjoyed reading your post. Kenny was a major reason for me to start following the palace. I still recall the pride I felt when he played in his first England game, a 0-0 draw against Wales as I recall, back in 1980.

so even though he was cleared you've decided he is guilty?

Was the girlfriend in question one of those nagging types?

'When was the last time you cleaned the toilet?'

'You left the seat up - again!'

'Put that bloody phone down and listen to me!!'

'You care more about those guys at the pub than you do for me....'

In which case, I think the verdict was understandable.

I used to play left back for Croydon Harps who Bob and Nellie Phelan ran. Wonderful, giving couple. Kenny played for Pollards Hill (I think?) at around the same time and I've gone through life thinking I'd have been Palace's left back if it had been another era!!

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.
