More like if we stay up and no bigger clubs come in for him he will stay and if bigger clubs come in for him he'll talk to us and them.

However, it's a positive sign that players like what they see, how they're welcomed, treated etc, and we can interest the more wanted players in our financial ballpark. The next step is surviving and getting them signed permanently.

It doesn't matter because Ince will play his heart out to look good in the 'shop window' and that will benefit Palace no end. If/when we stay up then we'll be in a position to buy other good players anyway for next season even if Ince leaves since we'll have another big bag load of cash for staying in the top flight.

Bet he stays if we don't go down. Guaranteed 30 plus games in The Prem next season if he is good enough with us as opposed to 10-15 probably with a 'big' club.

That'll swing it.

We will, of course, have to alter our pay structure too if he is the business.

Articles like this are a bit silly because even if players like Tom Ince had no intention whatsoever of staying beyond the end of this season he's hardly likely to say so

Spot on. It's all meaningless as he can't say anything else.
