I've run through the figures of the past 12 league games of each of the current relegation candidates. Taking note of their points ratios against each other. Its encouraging, here are my results.
20 - WBA 13%
19 - Stoke 33%
18 - Hull 33%
17 - A.Villa 38%
16 - Swansea 40%
15 - Fulham 43%
14 - Cardiff 44%
13 - Sunderland 48%
12 - Norwich 50%
11 - Westham 52%
10 - Palace 76%

Of course its only points between the candidates and some surprise results will have a bearing but we are winning the 6 pointer games and that can only be good.

All very well, but we have to play both Manchester clubs, Chelsea and Liverpool at home, and visit Cardiff, West Ham, Fulham, Swansea, Sunderland, Everton and Newcastle with our awful away record. 12th is somewhat optimistic.

However, if Ince and Ledley can provide the creativity (and goals) that we sadly lack, and if Murray can some back in and score a few, then we do have a chance.

What you need to account for is the fact that we have played all those around us mostly at home. Only West Brom and Villa left. So you would expect things to be more in Palace's favour. We need to take points off West Ham, Cardiff & Fulham in the corresponding away fixtures.

The idea is that we need to do well against the teams in the bottom of the table. As long as we do better than them, we stay up.

The percentages show the points difference between the lower teams.

What is says is that we have a very good chance of staying up, if we keep doing well against the lower teams.

We need to be safe before we play them!
If we have to get a point from Fulham away then it'll end in tears, folks.
