So, some good signings in the window I think - but who gets the goals that will keep us up ?

Hmmm, not sure goals in Scotland count for much and Ince hasn't played in the Prem.

Don't get me wrong not trying to bring a downer here, but I thought the one thing we needed in the window was a good striker, maybe like Jordan Rhodes but there wasn't even any chat about him which was strange I thought.

So we'll improve, have a bit more depth and maybe a bit more of a threat - but we still don't have a proven premier league striker. Are my expectations too high ? I wonder if we tried to get anyone like that but couldn't make it happen...

The striker who I wouldn't have minded seeing at the club was Pogrebnyak of Reading. Can score with both feet and his head.

You call for a proven premier league striker, yet argue we should have gone for someone like Jordan Rhodes. Additionally, you discount Ince for not having played in the premier league: neither has Rhodes. Your logic makes no sense.

There are a number of teams looking for a proven premier league striker: most have not found one. At least they have not found one who is even remotely reasonable value given the 7 million paid for a 1 in 4 strike rate by Hull.

The goals will come from a collective effort. It does not have to be be one person it is the team that counts not the individual Who cares who scores as long as we do !!

In the 1979-80 season our top scorers were Walshie and Flanagan on 9 a piece, a high percentage of which were in the cups. We finished 13th out of 22, having, in mid September been briefly top. The briefly top can't happen but 13th from 20...I think I'll take that! A bang on centre forward would be great but look at Foolham...they spent £11 million on 1 bod and lost 3-0 at home today. We'll have different people pop up with a few and hopefully Muzza will get to play a supporting role soon. Keep the faith!

This. Would love to see Gayle play upfront with Chamakh. I'm sure he'd get us goals if given the chance & played in his correct position.
I hope Murray can help too later in the season.
