West Ham went to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday to claim a point and got one. Should Palace play with 5 at the back (maybe giving Dann a chance) and play with a very defensive mindset to go for the 0-0 draw at the Emirates? Right now any points against top-half teams, let alone Arsenal, would be a massive bonus. The football may not be attractive if Palace play this way but the Hammers, statistically a worse team, could pull it off and gained a point that could be pivotal later in the season.

No cuz more of then that not it doesn't work. Obviously West Ham did well getting the point but they needed a fair chunk of luck to get it. If you look at the quality Arsenal have going forward, it is asking a huge amount to keep a clean sheet!

My answer would be that you have to look at the approach most likely to yield a result. There are basically three options: 1. Park the bus -- do a West Ham at Chelsea. Really, West Ham's point, even parking the bus, was one in a hundred. It's very unlikely to work, as we discovered at Man. City and Spurs where, even after defending well for a long period, we were eventually broken down. 2. Play as usual -- which, if we're honest, isn't a million miles from Parking the Bus but gives a tiny bit more attacking focus and outlet. 3. Play a more open brand of football -- which isn't even worth discussing because it's not going to happen. Were Ledley, Ince, and Dann available for tomorrow it is possible we might do things a bit differently but as they're not, no point expecting any departure from the status quo. I think, tomorrow, we just have to keep doing what we've been doing recently. Sooner or later we might get the rub of the green and pick up an unexpected point against a top side; it's bound to happen once a season. In a way, things have fallen for us. Arsenal are coming off a poor result, aren't really bang in form, and have injuries. We're going to get Everton in a couple of weeks' time also off-colour and without Lukaku. There are worse times to be going to the Emirates.

If most of the new boys can't play, I expect to see a top performance from those in danger of losing their place... Play as we usually do. Nearly got us a point at Man City and Chelsea.

We're a one or two goal team, if we want to stay up we play to our strengths, and under TP that's been not conceding goals. Against a team like Arsenal, if you go out an play them at their own game nine times out of ten they'll batter a team like us. Unlike maybe west ham, we play that 'point' game more effectively, utilising counter attacks and trying to create that elusive chance, but without compromising our defence. End of the day, a point away to Arsenal would be an amazing achievement.

Arsenal have injuries & we've been pretty solid at the back so far this season. I can see us getting a point vs Arsenal. 1-1.
