PALACE FOR EVER London 29 Jan 14 10.26pm | |

I thought he was playing well until Paddy came on and Palace went to a back five and the shape of the team didn't look right. With a back five was he then asked not to play such a defensive roll in midfield? or thought he didn't need to. He did seem to come forward with the ball more. Then when we went back to a back four he didn't seem to slot back to where he was playing and I'm sure Jedi's dodgy passing wouldn't of helped either. One thing I've heard several times is players like to know what there roll in the team is and any uncertainty can lead to a player losing form, even if only temporarily. Anyway, we won and I'm sure any problems will be ironed out by TP.
The pyramid to beat all pyramids!! Find out what team is in which division, eg which division is Coppull United in? |

I agree the flat back 5 has a bad shape. If we want to add a defensive lineup, we should go to 2 purely defensive midfielders as "stoppers" right in front of the back 4

The two full backs have been fantastic without Joel, who has been a tremendous presence at CM. He wins the ball and moves it on, and hes not afraid to get stuck in which is quite obviously how TP wants us to set up for most games. I'd be happy to see him develop there all season. Players evolve with age and Joel will be no exception Edited by Beanhead09 (29 Jan 2014 11.17pm)

"..... I'm sure Jedi's dodgy passing wouldn't of helped either." You can say that again! Don't get me wrong, he's important for Palace, but sometimes his mistakes leave the team terribly exposed. I doubt he'd win any sprints either. Thought he looked tired against Hull?
