Any theories on why the 2nd half performance was so poor last night? I thought we did OK in the first half, looked the more likely to score and deserved our half time lead. 2nd half performance was very poor. It didn't seem to me that Hull obviously upped the tempo or did anything very different, it was just that Palace became very poor. Was it nerves? 45 minutes away from a massive result? Was it tiredness? Worked enormously hard to close Hull players down in the first half, did we just run out of steam? Don't get me wrong, the spirit of the performance was outstanding for the whole 90+ minutes but we were lucky to come up against such an inept Hull team.

It seems in hindsight that it was Pulis and his masterstroke of tactics, outwitting ol big nose. switching to 5 at te back , then back to 4 to counter his changes. Personally, it took me back 10/15 years to thsoe mid week games where you never knew where the next goal would come from, ricochets in the box, end to end stuff ,bodies all over the pitch, last ditch tackles but most of all, 11 PLAYERS ALL FIGHTING FOR THE TEAM, TOGETHER. Back to the good ol days, not good for the heart but damn good for the soul at the end.
