I don't know if anyone on here lives near to Bishops Stortford but on Friday 31st Jan at the golf club there, is an Audience with Peter Burridge, Dave Payne and Alan Stephenson. It starts at 7 for 7:30, there's a nice bar and buffet provided, and costs £25/head all in - no jeans & t-shirts though. Details of location here..... No need to book, just turn up. Ask for either Tony Brown (Palace nut & Bar manager there), or me Peter Hurn (just Palace nut). Sorry it's a bit short notice but please come if you can.

I can report that no SSN was showing last night (thank Goodness) but despite God-awful weather about 40 football devotees of various faiths turned up. In a very relaxed atmosphere, the ex-players shared tables with the fans as piping hot food was served and free beer dished out. Then came a Q&A session with fans asking all sorts of questions and all 3 players chipping in with their memories. I drove for about 5 hours, there & back, in constant rain but it was worth every penny and I am delighted to report that Peter Burridge, now 80, is in fantastic shape and full of stories, and looking forward to a game of golf once the rain relents. Alan Stephenson and Dave Payne were also in good form and between them and the lovely Golf Club and its manager Tony Brown they made a superb evening.
