Pulis' frustration at what?

Is TP not only frustrated at our lack of signings or is there something else behind the media gossip? He must have known the workings of CPFC 2010 when he interviewed and accepted the job. Apparently he had compiled a dossier on all playing staff. At this point he would have outlined what he needed. If it was , say, Crouch or Etherington, he would have known exactly the wages they were on and what they would come to CPFC for. He would also have been told the wage structure of the club and the boards thinking. He would also been told by his good pal Ian Holloway the ins and outs of working with the board and the way the club operated. On this basis he accepted the job and the 2 1/2 year contract

3 months down the road , he is in the media, rightfully, getting huge praise for the job he is doing and how he has changed the club around. In the meantime there have been two more managerial opportunities at Cardiff and WBA become available. Two inexperienced Premier managers appointed. Soljskaar rumoured to be on 4 million a year , lengthy contract.

Maybe TP is feeling he sold himself a little bit short, hence the frustration? No lose for him whatever happens. Stay up and his stock goes up even more, get relegated, blame the Club for not signing who he wanted. Whatever happens Tony is on his way to a bigger contract, wherever he is next season. What struggling premier club wouldn't want him?

Media playing games and putting a spin on frustration. Frustration with a situation has been turned into frustration with an employer but 2 different things.

Matthew Etherington is going to suddenly have the spring in his step from having not played for months and months? Yeah course he is.

Pulis is a victim of his own success, he is not a Marquee signing.

Tan needed someone that would get the Cardiff fans back on side (doesn't take much) and the appointment of OGS did that.

I don't think the issue is so much wages whilst we are in the prem, these players apparently don't want to take a cut if they drop to the Championship and to be fair £15k a week is not enough for anyone to live on.

If Pulis does walk (He has told the SLP he is going nowhere [Link] then he will probably attract another club in trouble and he will face the same challenges as here. As I say a victim of his own success

the dignified don't even enter in the game

We've already got a 23 page thread on this subject. Do we really need another one?

Why not? the thread is debating as to what Pulis is frustrated at, not whether he will "leave in the summer"

to be fair £15k a week is not enough for anyone to live on

please tell me you either misquoted yourself or are on a strict regiment of medication and missed a dose!

Otherwise, I'm being grossly underpaid while the rest of the country's making £780,000 a year...

I think there is loads of 2+2=5 going on in the media. After reading Steve Browett's comments on the BBS I feel more confident of signings this week and will wait until Feb 1st before judging this window and the management structure.

I think he must have meant its not enough to live on if you spend your time hoofing up cocaine, staking 20k bets at a time and ploughing prostitutes/page3 girls.

I'm going reserve judgement until 11 May 2014.

Also, I would be interested to know what criteria you apply when assessing the management structure based on the perceived success or otherwise of the club during the transfer window. Perhaps you could start a new thread on 1 Feb.

I think the answer to this one is a given.

If it's not the price of plums then I reckon it could be that we haven't signed anyone yet.

If you want to debate as to why we haven't signed anyone or the ramifications thereof then, thread-wise, it's a case of 'take your pick'.

I assumed it was sarcasm.
