Apologise if this has aready had a thread about it, I have looked but could not see anything.
Anyway can someone tell me what was going on in the Holmesdale on Saturday? Had to show my ticket 4 times even when I went for a piss and came back. Then during the whole game had "Security" (That's a laugh) staring at all of us..looking at our feet! Talk about fecking annoying and what away to start trouble and create the wrong type of atmosphere and soon as the game finished "Security" disappeared like rats on a sinking ship...think they was worried about the reaction of fans being stared at and made to feel uncomfortable for the whole game. Talk about a waste of money. Vent over.

I noticed the same thing in the A block, at one point this poor guy showed he's season ticket at the top then the middle ( no its not a michael barrymore joke ) then the bottom, he sat right next to the stewards who then asked him for he's ticket yet again, then they tried to mess him about it looked like they were trying to wind him up saying its the wrong set, he's probably has sat there for years . They finally gave he's ticket back only for the other steward to ask for it yet again, how this guy kept his cool is beyond me.

I don't know about anywhere else in the ground, but down by block B the stewards were checking the tickets to make sure that they were valid to that section of the ground. We seem to get so many people by tickets casually in the lower Holmesdale and then come and stand in the aisle to get nearer the "atmosphere" . The weird thing is, that I have watched a lot of them, and although they enjoy all the noise, they don't particularly add to it . A lot I have seen don't sing a single song, just shout at the ref or opposition players. A friend of mine has given up his season ticket now, cos he can't see the game due to people in the aisles.

has resisted writing a single post on the Ross McCormack thread !!!

I know one of the guys who was part of the security in A & B block on saturday and they were charged with making sure that people were in the correct seats for their tickets.

Apparently there have been complaints that alot of the front row seats are filled with people who dont have tickets for them but for other blocks etc.

I had a wonderful dream last night that terracing was once again part of Selhurst Park. That'll solve the problem. Take out 1500 seats behind the Holmesdale goal to allow for 2,000 standing. Noise would double and no more seat problems.

Got asked a few times going in to Block C to show tickets. Then one of the stewards said that we were gonna have to sit down all game. Obvioulsy that didn't happen.

That was exactly what the Security team leader had said the complaints were about.
