i get why we bought him on as chmack was getting kicked two peices and gayle could not hold the ball up like wilbs but this bloke can not score he is worse than camron j

that attempt where he side footed it was woefull he could have run into the space the dummy was good for punchon but how baddly do we need another striker now .....

chamack played very good and is a starter every game yannick gives us a lot down the wing and as hot and cold punchon can be i must admit he is a tricky player to defender aginst we need a goal score now we can not wait for murray and hope that he is back to normal

The only time we kept the ball from a Jules kick was after he came on. It is by far his greatest asset and I think it should be used until we have another striker. Chamakh is not a top man, he plays far better behind someone and has the technical ability needed to score goals. Wilbraham is very very good at holding the ball up and allowing players to get around him. It's beggars belief that you can slate him for his side foot shot when hes played no first team football since August and his first shot he had was well controlled and on target, more than Jerome has managed in 1/2 a season of football. He is not a goal scorer and doesn't claim to be but for our style of football we need a top man who the ball sticks too, wilbraham does that better than anyone else we have.

"They got his own song 'He's just too good for you', it's quite unbelievable but when you see it and he's facing up someone - I actually feel sorry for them, 'Cos he actually is" - Ian Holloway

Ah I see. A home win & by the sounds of it a good performance so with the lack of anything to moan about a player is selected for scapegoat.

Well done.

Wilbraham is not the answer, he isnt any good. He plays as a striker and hasnt scored in 2 years, that must tell you something.
People keep slagging Jerome, but he is the best we have got in that position, he creates room for Chamakh.

It's horses for courses, Wilbs won't ever be a striker, he was bought on to hold the ball up and add muscle, which is exactly what he did, ffs leave him alone, he did a good job for the team today!

Did more in 10 minutes than Chamakh did in 80 - more running, more shots, more enthusiasm and a lot less moaning!.

Have you antis not noticed yet that when Wilbraham plays even as just a sub we tend to get the desired result?

I love him. He's quirky and thick-skinned. He's also been promoted five times.

Don't care if he's not that great tbh. He's Palace, he tries 100% and he has my respect.

No he was the answer today....... for last 5/10 minutes he provided a big physical presence up front held the ball up, took it to the corner once and helped run the clock down and us hang on to our lead.

Well said Kerms. He is not a footballer for the purist, but, must be an awkward player to play against, even for 10 minutes! Result = closed on the 3-points.

Most certainly not European.

I think that he's been injured for most of that time too as I'm sure I read that he had an operation recently

I was impressed with him when he came on. He's given himself a chance of making the squad next month.
