Hi All, I was not a Pulis fan prior to him joining us but I must say since he has come in he deserves a lot of plaudits not only for the way he has turned the club around but also for the style of play. I cant help that feel though from reading and hearing his press conferences that he is felling very frustrated with the turn of events in the transfer market. Do we risk losing him if we do it would be a massive shame. I do understand the clubs stance on signing players and spending money especially if we do go down but surely we need to take a risk on at least 2 or 3 players and if we do go down we either sell them or loan them out like QPR have (not saying we should sign players like QPR just using them as an example) I cant help but feel very worried at the minute and do feel like that we are not being told the whole truth, I also find it very strange on IH going to Millwall. I think things have happened and are happening that we are not in the know off and are not being told the whole truth. Thoughts?

You have to be very careful not to comment on speculation even when few facts are available and I realise many here have already beatified our owners but to me, something is not sitting right. Do I know exactly what it is (or what's really going on) at the club? No. But the justifications for our activity -- or complete lack of it -- in the transfer market really does not sound very credible to me. Really, I feel you are bang on.

Millwall have taken IH because he was in the labour market and has been promoted twice. IH has no south London allegiances whatsoever. TP does deserve plaudits for what he has done. However, there was an enormous delay between him being interviewed for the job and accepting the job, and in that time he and SP MUST have agreed a January transfer cap. He could not have been so naive as to walk into the job without such a key point having been established.

The Holloway move to Millwall was done for family reasons - he wants to be based around London. I think player's salaries are becoming more and more inflated and we just can't compete - there will be a crisis point in football very soon. What we don't want to do is to sign players who don't care about the club but only their huge pay packets.

The comments made by Parish would suggest the game plan has been made and that seems to imply not much money will be spent on players [much to the relief of some of them in the team]hopefully that will mean not coming on here every half hour to see if there is any movement in the transfer market.I think i,ll f@ck off to the Caribbean to relieve the pressure.

It's not always about taking risks, it's about getting the player to come to Crystal Palace at the present time. There would still be probably 7 or 8 or clubs in The Championship that a player would probably consider ahead of CPFC. It is extremely difficult for us to attract good quality to our club. Why everyone always presumes we're being tight is the reason players don't come is beyond me, we're sensible.

TP seems a clued up guy. I'm sure he would have discussed transfer spending before he took the job - that would have included money availabel and wage structure. If he can't get anyone in (and I'm not yet paniccing - we are not the most attractive destination for players) then that would be under the restrictions he knew would be in place. I'm hopeful they're not just getting bodies in, but getting the right bodies in. If we don't have anyone in a week or so, I'll start to panic.

I totally understand what people are saying that he would have know this before taking job etc but please we all people can go back on their words. Some of you also say no need to panic etc but I would have thought as does Pulis listen to his press conference we have 2 games now that are winnable and big games and I would have liked to have at least a new striker by these games. TP has clearly said we are 3 weeks in now and we have taken a step back instead of forward this is not a good sign. I am not saying I want us to spend big etc and not for one minute saying we should do a Hull but lets be pretty honest they have brought 2 strikers that have PL experience and potentially will score them enough goals between them to probably secure them PL football next season. We missed out on John Gudetti from Man City and if you look around there is too much left to go after. I just dont think all is well and I dont care how we try to paint pictures etc but all does not add up currently.

Him and Martinez are two of the best managers around, and have been under appreciated for a long time. Tactically astute and pragmatic, both excellent at producing results with little and achieving success by breaking the 'accepted model'. Footballing genius is a term banded around a lot, but both are on a par with Ferguson and Wenger. I'm thankful that teams like Chelsea etc never realised it.
