Coming off another thread the term Club Legend is mentioned. I think this term is used a bit too often.
So the question is who are the Genuine Club Legends.

Agree abour Sir Steve but sorry Plane, Jim Cannon is a true legend too.

I'm sure some of the old timers might include Bert Head on their list.

Geoff Thomas is about the only other one in more recent times that I would also consider.

Sorry Hoof, forgot about JC, Bert is a good call but I was young at the time but in retrospect he did brilliantly with the limited resouces we had at that time.

Not so sure about GT, I remember the entire Palace crowd booing him when we palyed at Wolves (he had signed for them and I think he dissed the club in some way) in a play off (I think) game.

As you can see I haven't got time to check my facts and it's all from memory

I only use Wiki to resolve a dispute and rely on my memory too!

I suggested GT as he captained the team that was our most successful ever in terms of trophies (ZDS Cup LOL) and league position. Without Liverpool's indiscretion at the Heysel he would have led our side in Europe!

Us long-suffering fans are the biggest legends at the club. Then it's Jim Cannon and Steve Coppell.

Not quite correct Hoof.
The Ban got lifted on English Teams which included Liverpool.
They finished 2nd and us 3rd.
I think.
