I thought at one time Borrowdale had a future in the game but after moving on with Dowie he progressively faded out of the picture. I wonder why? Some youngsters become impatient for first team football while others fall foul of The Gaffer and just warm the bench at best.Judging by his track record of clubs I wonder if he had an attitude problem of some dimension. If youngsters would try to settle with the club that gives them an opportunity to play regularly I think they may do better. The devil you do know is always less threatening than the devil you do not know.

Interesting to see when things like this happen. Playing a large number of games at a relatively high level and then just fading. Must say I never thought he was that great. Coincidentally the article also says that they are interested in another ex Palace youngster, Nathaniel Pinney.
