Bloomin' excellent site MM - as the Palace nerd I am I went all the way back to the sacking of Mullery and read on to the Hughton Brighton game. Some really interesting details that I certainly didn't realise, not being of an age to remember the period first-hand.

Incredible to think that there was a player revolt when Mullery left and that we had such a shocking run of games after Coppell took over. In fact it could easily be argued that, in today's world, Coppell would've had his neck on the board after such a start.

Brilliant site mate! I was also there through this era, and it really rang a few bells. A back page shot of the Palace v Brighton agro up on the whitehorse back in the day would be good. I believe it showed someone planting a right hander on someones nose. Classic paper pic.

Still have newspaper cuttings from the Burnley game in '79 and also the season later after Palace went top of Div 1 after beating Ipswich 4-1 if your interested.

I've got a bound book of cuttings called Crystal Palace FC - A History from 1907.

It only has items from the mirror but is great to look at and stir up old memories like the Burnley promotion game.

The kids got me that for Xmas last year Hoof - good innit
